RedHeels Empowering is a not-for-profit organisation based in Australia dedicated to helping people turn skills into opportunities.
We support women, migrants, and first-time entrepreneurs by equipping them with the practical tools and confidence needed to build meaningful careers and sustainable livelihoods.
Through partnerships and shared learning, we connect people and purpose across the Asia-Pacific region, bridging the gap between potential and opportunity.
A first generation migrant. A woman of colour. A believer in courage, community, and the promise that every challenge can become a new start.
Sarah Senanayake is the founder of RedHeels Empowering, a not-for-profit initiative inspired by her own journey of resilience, migration, and purpose.
With over 15 years of experience across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and Australia, Sarah has dedicated her career to helping people and organisations grow with empathy and vision.
She holds a Master’s in Organisational Psychology from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Missouri University of Science & Technology (USA).
Now proudly based in Australia, Sarah blends professional expertise with lived experience. She knows the challenges of starting over in a new country and the power of having someone believe in you.
“I created RedHeels Empowering to help others rise because every person deserves a fair chance to grow, contribute, and succeed.”
At RedHeels Empowering, giving back isn’t an afterthought, it’s at the heart of who we are.
Every project we build, every skill we teach, and every partnership we form is rooted in one belief: when we lift others, we all rise.
Through our philanthropic and community initiatives, we connect people, organizations, and resources across borders to support those who need it most especially women, children, and vulnerable communities in Sri Lanka and the Asia-Pacific region.

In partnership with a boys’ orphanage in Sri Lanka, we launched the Back to School Initiative, ensuring every child could start the school year with confidence. We provided school shoes, bags, and essential supplies, helping young students walk proudly into a new academic year. This initiative continues today and your support can help us reach even more children. Together, we can make sure no child is left behind.
If your organisation or community group shares our vision, we’d love to collaborate. Partner with RedHeels Empowering to create real, lasting change across Australia, Sri Lanka, and beyond.
At RedHeels Empowering, partnerships are central to our impact.
“Collaboration creates community – and together, we help people across borders grow with purpose and dignity.”
ESLA (Employability, Skills, and Learning Academy) is a Sri Lankan initiative focused on developing future ready professionals through skill based learning, career mentoring, and entrepreneurship support.
Together, RedHeels Empowering and ESLA are building a bridge of education, equality, and empowerment across the Asia-Pacific region
